Oppo teases 64MP periscope camera on Reno 10 Pro+ in India
Oppo teases the Indian launch of its Reno10 series by touting the Reno10 Pro+’ 64MP periscopic zoom camera.
It’s a 64MP f/2.5 periscope with a half-inch (1/2″) sensor and 0.7 µm pre-grouped pixels. It’s a 3x zoom with a 120x hybrid zoom option. Oppo says its periscope is 0.96mm thinner than the competitor’s periscope, and that it is the largest megapixel unit in the segment.
Other cameras are expected to be a 50MP f1/8 main camera with Sony IMX890 with 1/1.56″ sensor, an 8MP 2/2 IMX355 1/4″ sensor and a 32MP selfie camera.
Oppo presented the Reno10 series in China. There are three units – Reno10, Reno10 Pro and Reno10 Pro+. All are expected to launch globally, including in India, but we may see some changes – the Pro model could trade the Dimensity 8200 for the Snapdragon 778G.
The Pro+ could have the same specs. That would mean a 6.74-inch 120Hz OLED, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 with up to 16GB of RAM, and a 4700mAh battery with 100W charging.
