Introduction

Tecno has been blossoming into an increasingly successful company lately. What started as a largely localized business focused on developing countries in Africa has since expanded quite rapidly and continues to enter new markets. The Camon line remains one of the company’s main products. Since Phantom devices are mostly set aside for their own purposes these days, it can be argued that the Camon phones represent the ultimate offering in the overall Tecno budget portfolio.

The Camon series brings large screens and batteries, with a good camera experience and satisfactory performance at a low price. Camon 20 Premier 5G is no exception. The “Premier” model, as the name suggests, represents the best Camon offer.

The Camon 20 Premier has a lot going for it, especially in the camera department. Its main camera has a large 50 MP sensor, laser autofocus and even OIS with three-axis sensor shift – features you don’t see every day, especially on a budget phone. But the ultra-wide camera is perhaps the bigger attraction. It uses an incredible 108MP sensor and has autofocus that doubles as macro photography. It’s a really intriguing camera, all the way. The Camon 20 Premier also doesn’t skimp on selfies with a large 32MP module on the front, along with a dual LED flash.

And the impressive hardware isn’t just limited to the cameras. The Camon 20 Premier has a large 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. It also rocks a stereo speaker setup. Plus, a large 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The phone also uses a very modern MediaTek Dimensity 8050 chipset, which we’re excited to see and test.

All in all, the Camon 20 Premier looks really promising on paper.

Tecno has a great track record when it comes to accessory packages. We’re happy to report that the Camon 20 Premier is no exception. It comes in a standard two-piece case that is sturdy enough to protect the phone and has an additional plastic tray for the device on the inside.

As far as accessories go, it doesn’t really get any better than this. The Camon 20 Premier comes with a 45W Tecno charger and an associated USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Also in the box – a nice pair of USB headphones with a built-in microphone. These are Type-C as the phone lacks a 3.5mm jack.

Tecno also included a very high-quality cover for the phone. It is semi-transparent/matte on the back, otherwise it is made of soft but firm rubber. We really couldn’t ask for more boxes than this.
